Joseph Ashton Circus is an entertaining spectator event that showcases the talents of skilled performers. For the most part, the audience is seated, but even sitting becomes very fun to do, when they release giant balls that are highly responsive to touch, and bounce metres high with the slightest hit. At this point, being a spectator becomes interactive, as individuals in the audience engage which each other in a common effort to keep the balls in the air.
Leo's first trip to the Joseph Ashton circus last year |
Believe it or not, our first trip to the circus was as young adults aged 20, 21 and 22. If I'd had a bucket list, I would have felt very accomplished to cross off a trip to the circus. Despite that I didn't have a bucket list - I still felt quite fulfilled. I felt like a part of my childhood had been redeemed, especially since I was with together with my brothers. Our first trip even happened to be to Joseph Ashton. I was so drawn to the big tents that I really felt obliged to go. I keep replaying this video from our visit. I can't help but be amused as I watch our youngest brother cover his mouth, squirm and look very uncomfortable by the circus stunts.
